Award-Winning Ghanaian Actress, Juliet Ibrahim has waded into the seemingly endless debate on the legalization of Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) rights in Ghana, GistAfrica reports.
There has been argument following the opening of an Accra office by the group in Ghana.
It has since triggered the resurfacing of concerns over activities of the community with calls from a cross-section of Ghanaians including the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values and the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) to have the group’s activities stopped.
The discussion is still ongoing and Juliet has added her voice.
According to “The Toast Of Life” Author, that would be a breach of their human rights.
Ibrahim, in her chagrin opinion, has rained insults and condemnation on Ghanaians out of anger over how homosexuals are currently being treated.
Taking to social media, she said that we relate and work with people who form part of the LGBT community in other countries while we discriminate LGBT persons in our own country.
She also further insults on Ghanaians, ranging from ‘shallow minds’, ‘uneducated’ and ending with ‘kwasiasem!’.
